The idea for the Metamorphosis Corset came to me while researching sustainability practices and learning how true responsibility lies not just in materials, fabrication methods and longevity, but also in versatility. I always look to nature for inspiration and began thinking of the butterfly, how it changes form yet remains itself, and wondered if a garment could do the same. Something to evolve with a woman as she moves through the beautiful seasons of her life — from one celebration to the next, always becoming. This corset is that vision realized: a sculpted base with interchangeable sleeves and straps, meant to transform and endure.

I got to wear the Metamorphosis Corset in Rosacotta to a film premiere and party at the Chelsea Hotel in NYC recently. I brought all the sleeves with me, but I was certain I was going to do the flutter sleeve. However once I got there, I changed my mind and was thrilled to be able to have the other options to change last minute and ultimately went with the Avant-Garde Puff Sleeve, switching to just the corset later in the night. I’ve never gotten so many compliments in my life and felt so proud that all the fabrications were organic and ethically made while being fashion-forward. I can’t wait to see where you wear it!
